Bangladesh Jute and Other Export Data
Bangladesh is expected to remain
the largest Jute exporting country accounting for over 85% of world trade in
jute fiber and jute goods. However, exports are projected to contract in line
with the global market developments by an annual rate of 0.62% from 742 000
tons in 1998-2000 to 703,000 tons in 2010.
Exports from Bangladesh have both grown and changed substantially
as shown in the table below:
